Below you will find answers to the most common questions regarding Taiwan’s duties and taxes refunds:
- When will I be refunded?
- Why haven’t I received my refund?
- How will I be notified about my refund?
- Why am I being charged if my order is below the threshold?
When will I be refunded?
The duties and taxes refund process may take up to 10 business days.
Once your order clears customs, we will be notified by your carrier. Upon order delivery, iHerb will confirm with Customs that your order was not subject to duties and taxes. Once confirmed, iHerb will promptly refund any duties and taxes.
Please note, the refund timeline may be impacted by the processing time between the customs broker, logistics provider, and your credit card issuer.
Why haven’t I received my refund?
Orders exceeding NT$2,000 within six months (January to June and July to December each year) may be subject to duties and taxes. If the local customs agency confirms your order is subject to duties and taxes, iHerb will not be able to issue a refund.
How will I be notified about my refund?
Once your refund is confirmed, iHerb will send you an email. Please note, the refund will appear on your original payment method.
Why am I being charged if my order is below the threshold?
The estimated import taxes and fees will be pre-charged at order checkout.
If your order clears customs and is not subject to duties and taxes, we will refund the estimated import taxes and fees.
The refund process will begin 2 business days after the order has been delivered. We anticipate it will take 5 - 10 business days for us to confirm delivery and process the refund. Please note, the refund timeline may be impacted by the processing time between the customs broker, logistics provider, and your credit card issuer.
