A step-by-step guide on how to upload LOA may be found below depending on the carrier chosen:
- Global Air with Tracking: EZ WAY MANUAL.pdf or submit to the carrier directly.
- DHL Express: EZ WAY MANUAL.pdf
The Taiwan Customs Administration mandates the recipients of international shipments to complete real-name authentication in order to prevent fraudulent declarations and protect personal information. Also, the administration requires a Letter of Authorization (LOA) for customs clearance purposes. Real-name authentication and LOA can be done via the Taiwan Customs Administration’s EZWAY app. During the process, customers will be asked to provide the recipient's ID copy (front and back), signature, and seal. When placing an order with iHerb, please ensure that consignee information and shipping information (including any characters and spaces) match what was provided in the EZWAY app to avoid customs clearance delays. Real-name authentication and LOA must be completed as soon as an order is shipped to avoid the customs clearance delays or order cancellation. There is no need to complete the real-name authentication if you have already done it in the past. Please note that LOA must be uploaded every time a new shipment is imported into Taiwan. Consignees without a Taiwan Identity Card don't need to complete real-name authentication and must wait for further customs clearance instructions from the carrier.
