Customers may need to provide an authorization amount (or "small charge verification") or authorization code to verify your orders. You can find this authorization amount or authorization code in your bank statement or by contacting your bank directly.
On the Orders page, please enter the authorization amount using the local currency charged. If you place multiple orders within a short period of time, you may need to provide multiple authorization amounts. Enter each amount individually per order and not as one total sum.

How to verify your order
You must verify your order within 48 hours by doing one of the following:
- Verify the order yourself by entering the authorization amount (small charge) or authorization code on the Orders page.
- Locate the correct order on your 'Orders' page and select Verify small charge or Verification by authorization code.
- Enter the authorization amount in local currency or authorization code and select Verify.
- Contact our Customer Service team and provide them with the authorization code or authorization amount.
- If the authorization code or small charge amount is correct, iHerb will verify your order and send you a confirmation.
Please note, authorization codes are usually 6-digits long and may contain numbers or letters. Please contact the financial institution associated with the payment method if you do not see this code in your bank account or financial transaction history.
You might be redirected from our app to an external page to complete verification. This is part of our standard procedure and there is nothing to worry about.
What if I can't verify my order?
If the order is not verified within 48 hours of receiving our notification, your order will be canceled and your account may be deactivated for security purposes.
This safety measure protects customers from fraudulent charges and other security concerns. If you would like your account reactivated, please contact our Verify team directly and they will walk you through the process. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response from our Verify team once you have contacted them.
Will I be refunded if verification fails?
In most cases, you pay for items when we ship them to you, so you won't be charged for any canceled items. Any pending transactions on your credit or debit card will be removed in a few days.
If you do not see the funds return to your account, please contact your bank or third party payment provider as they will be able to assist you further.
PayPal may take up to 30 days to void pending transactions and we suggest contacting their customer support should you have any questions.
How authorization amounts (or small charge verification) work
The authorization amount (or "small charge authorization") is initiated by the credit card or third party (Apple Pay, PayPal, etc.) processor to verify your account. Basically, they're confirming a credit card is valid and the customer has enough funds to make a purchase.
Processors will post a small charge (typically $1-2 USD in local currency) to temporarily authorize an account. This may show up on your credit card statement as a separate charge or simply included in the order total with iHerb listed as the recipient.
You will also see if your recent order needs to be verified by this method by going to the Orders page and seeing the request. You'll also be sent an email requesting verification of the amount charged (and returned) for the order you placed.
The amount will be returned to you once the account has been verified.
How authorization codes work
Authorization codes may also be referred to as a merchant, confirmation, transaction, or verification code. You can get the 6-digit code from your financial institution.
An order may be placed on hold until an authorization code is provided by the customer to verify payment. This security measure protects customers from fraudulent charges. You will need to provide our Verify team the authorization code by contacting them with the code or entering the code through the Orders page. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response from our Verify team once you have contacted them.
If your bank is unable to provide this code, please let us within 48 hours of placing your order so we may prevent your order from being canceled.
