Understanding Customs Charges and Fees for Saudi Arabia

Our primary fulfillment center in Riyadh is strategically located within a Special Economic Zone (also known as a "free zone").

What is a Free Zone? For customs and trade purposes, a free zone is treated as an international territory, even though it is physically located within a country.

This special designation means that any shipment leaving the free zone to be delivered to a Saudi Arabian address is officially considered an import by Saudi Customs.

Because your order is processed as an official import into Saudi Arabia, the following applies:

  • Standard Customs Duties & Taxes: Your shipment is subject to the standard import duties, taxes (like VAT), and fees required by Saudi law.
  • Compliance with Local Regulations: The shipment must adhere to all local import rules, including any restrictions on specific items.

This process is a legal requirement set by the local customs authorities for all goods leaving a free zone for a domestic destination.
