Address errors occur because carriers have specific requirements for address formatting. Below are common issues and helpful tips to ensure your address is entered correctly.
Name Format:
- Do: Enter your full first and last name with a space in between (e.g., “Happy Customer”)
- Avoid: Abbreviating your name (e.g., “H. Customer” or “Happy C.”) or forgetting to include a space between your first and last name (e.g., “HappyCustomer”)
Special Characters:
- Do: Enter your full name, phone number, and address
- Avoid: Including special characters like (é) (à) (ë) (,) (/) (:) (*) in any field.
Phone Number Format:
- Do: Correctly enter your phone number starting with the correct country code.
- Avoid: Including any spaces between the numbers or any signs between the numbers ( such as /, -, +)
Address Format:
- Do: Enter your full address without any abbreviations. If you live in an apartment, enter “APT” followed by the number in Address line 2 (e.g., APT 123).
- Avoid: Entering only numbers in Address Line 2 (this may cause an error). If Address Line 2 doesn’t apply to you, re-enter your primary address.
Postal Code/Zip Format:
- Do: Enter the correct postal code. If you're unsure about your postal code, enter "0000".
- Avoid: Including any spaces between the numbers.
Additional Tips:
- Complete all required (*) fields of the shipping address form.
- Verify that all your personal information, name, phone number, and address are entered correctly.
