Tip
Taiwan Customs requires formal (G1/X4) clearance for food and dietary supplement imports. Consignees will receive a customs authorization push notification from the EZWAY App for the clearance process. Consignees must respond to each push notification for every shipment they import into Taiwan.
To receive EZWAY App push notifications, customers must provide the complete consignee name in Chinese, ID number, and mobile phone number registered in EZWAY App when placing an order to iHerb.
Consignees without access to the EZWAY App must submit the following documents to iHerb’s customs broker for customs clearance purposes.
- Completed Letter of Authorization (LOA) with a signature and personal stamp.
- Copies of identification card (front and back).
How to Submit Clearance Documents:
Please submit the required documents as soon as an order is shipped to avoid customs clearance delays or returns. Please note that the Letter of Authorization (LOA) must be uploaded every time a new shipment is imported into Taiwan.
- Global Air Home Delivery with Tracking: Submit to carrier directly.
- Global Air Pickup with Tracking: Submit to carrier directly.
Failure to respond to EZWAY App push notification or to submit accurate documents to the customs broker may result in order delays and returns. It may also compromise iHerb's ability to refund your order. Taiwan Customs may charge a consignee NTD 200 per day as a detention fee if customs declaration of the consignee’ shipment is not completed within 15 days after entry.
