Why Was My Order Cancelled?

Customer Did Not Provide Authorization Amount or Code

When an order is placed, retailers often submit an authorization amount (also known as small charge verification) to confirm a credit card is valid and the customer has enough funds to make a purchase.

This is not an actual charge, but you may temporarily see a transaction on your credit card. This authorization amount is returned to the financial account within 48 hours.

To verify your credit card, we’ll send you an email asking you to provide your authorization amount or authorization code. You can verify the order yourself, by replying to our authorization email, or contacting our Customer Service team.

If you do not verify your order within 48 hours, your order will be canceled and all pending transactions voided. If this occurs, please allow 5-7 business days for the funds to appear back in the financial account associated with order payment.

Order Contains Out-of-Stock Items

Unfortunately, items may become unavailable after orders are placed. This may prevent an order from being fulfilled and shipped.

If an item becomes out-of-stock, it will typically be removed from your order and the rest of the items will be shipped. However, if there are no other items in your order, your order will be canceled.

Rest assured - you will not be charged for the canceled order. You may see a pending transaction which is voided upon order cancellation as iHerb never receives payment until orders have shipped. Please allow 5-7 business days for the funds to appear back in the financial account associated with order payment.

Account Has Suspicious Activity

We take pride in protecting your privacy. If we notice any suspicious activity on an iHerb account, we’ll deactivate the account, cancel all pending order payments, initiate a refund, and investigate the issue.

This security measure is in place to protect everyone in the iHerb community.

Payment Failed

You will need to update the payment within 48 hours if the payment was not processed successfully. Failure to do so will result in your order being canceled.

Rest assured, you will not be charged for any canceled orders. iHerb does not receive payment unless orders have shipped from our warehouses.

Any questions regarding payment failure should be directed towards the financial institution associated with order payment.
