Understanding Extra Charges on Your Order

iHerb only charges the amount displayed during checkout. However, additional charges may appear due to your bank’s practices. This is especially common for banks and card issuers for customers in the Persian Gulf. iHerb doesn’t receive such charges and we suggest contacting your bank or card issuer regarding this.

Possible Additional Charges:

  1. Foreign Transaction Fees:
    • Charged by your bank for international transactions or currency conversion.
    • iHerb has no control over these fees.
    • Contact your bank for details.
  2. Authorization Amount (Small Charge Verification):
    • Temporary $1-2 USD charge to verify your payment account.
    • This may appear on your credit card statement as a separate charge or simply included in the order total with iHerb listed as the recipient. However, iHerb does not receive the additional charge.
    • Refunded within 2-5 business days.
    • Contact your bank if the refund is delayed.
  3. Authorization Hold (Pending Transaction):
    • Temporary hold on funds to ensure payment.
    • Hold disappears and you'll see a single, final charge.
    • Holds can last 1-5 days (debit) or up to 30 days (credit).
    • Final charge will reflect any applied discounts.

Your bank statement provides the most accurate charge information.
